Q: What is the difference between the Flexwear Fitness Vest and the Flexwear Cross Training Vest model?

A: The Flexwear Fitness Vest was designed for light to moderate training such as walking, Pilates, resistance training cardio boxing, hiking etc… the Flexwear Fitness Vest can also hold up to 5 lbs of weight.

The Flexwear Cross Training Vest model has a little thicker padding can hold more resistance tubes and holds up to 15lbs of weight and you can attach our large bungee cords to the back for plyo-drills.


Q: What size should I order?

A: Flexwear Fitness vest sizes

(S-M) 30” – 35”

(L-XL) 36” – 40”

Cross Training Vest sizes

(M-L) 34”-42”

(L-XL) 36” – 44”

Measurements are just under the ribcage (not waist)

Q: I’m on a limited budget, I’m not sure if I need the extra weights can I order them later?

A: Yes Flexwear has many accessories with new ones being added. You can order a base model and add what and when you like at a later time.


Q: I’m looking to just tone up and lose some weight what vest is best for me?

A: The Flexwear Fitness Vest is perfect, very light weight, plenty of resistance, you can even wear it under a hoodie or open jacket. If you are not looking to add heavy weights into the vest or use our big bungee pull cords then the Flexwear Fitness Vest is the one to buy!


Q: Is the Flexwear vest comfortable?

A: Yes they are very comfortable light weight form fitting and adjustable to fit most sizes.


Q: What sizes do the Flexwear vests come in?

A: The Flexwear Fitness Vest comes in Sm/Med (one vest) & Large/XL (one vest)

The Flexwear Cross Training Vest comes in Med/Large (one vest) & Large/XL (one vest)

Each Flexwear vest size still allows for adjustments with shoulder and waist adjusters.

We recommend the vest fit more to the snug fit then too loose/large. We also sell an add on belt extender for a little more adjustability initially.

Q: Why should I buy/use Flexwear?

A: Flexwear is a product that will enhance your current fitness routine. If you like to weight train but don’t feel like going to the gym, use Flexwear to just “pump up”. Q: Why can’t I just use little hand weights or weighted gloves?

A: While weights may help in some hand speed movements, they do not offer the full range of resistance on the return motion. Plus there is a higher chance of injury due to over extending the elbows. With Flexwear you can also change the amount of resistance without having to carry extra dumbbells. Also what do you do with the weights when your fatiqued? With Flexwear you just let the handles go and they stay in place on the vest.


Q: Why should I buy Flexwear when I can just buy rubber tubes?

A: 1) Flexwear already has the resistance tubing in the proper position for optimal muscle use in a variety of planes of movement to work all the muscle in the upper body while performing a cardio activity of your choice.

2) The ability to change bands and add resistance bands for more resistance while in motion.

3) Flexwear allows the user to be mobile, walk, run, go anywhere, and work your whole body in a convenient ergonomic workout system. You do not have to attach bands to a door or tree, just put it on! It’s a Gym on your back!!


Q: Where do you put the weights?

A: The soft bean bag style weights bags go on the inside pockets of the vest along the belt and the back. Allowing for a nice firm tight fit. The weights and Flexwear will not shift or bounce around, when walking/running or doing your body weight exercises as they are held close to your body.


Q: Can I use Flexwear in the water?

A: Yes you can, Flexwear can be used in water. (But DO NOT put weights in water!)


Q: Can I use Flexwear on my treadmill or exercise bike?

A: Yes you can, we recommend that you incorporate Flexwear into your current fitness routine to burn more calories and help strengthen your core, arms, back and chest while using a cardio machine of your choice. Plus it will save you time! Cardio AND strength training at the same time!


Q: I am not very mobile, but I want to do some type of exercise. Can Flexwear help?

YES

Seniors Health: Exercise and physical activity can serve as a tool for maintaining cardiovascular health, bone density, muscle mass and balance for overall physical health. Balance, weight bear status or immobility may interfere with a senior’s ability to access or perform conventional exercise. Free weights may not always be appropriate because of risk of injury or cognitive decline.

Wheelchair or homebound: Flexwear was designed to make fitness accessible for people of all abilities including individuals who are unable to access equipment or community to exercise. Donning Flexwear is simple and requires minimal shoulder mobility. The fasteners are easy to secure and all bands are fastened to the vest for easy use and independent use. Flexwear can be used while seated or while in bed for upper body strengthening and mobility training.

Therapists and caregivers can use the vest for mobility training and muscle re education as part of therapeutic activity and a home exercise program for post recovery.


Q: I am overweight How will I benefit from using Flexwear? And will it fit?

2) Yes the Flexwear vest has many adjustable straps so to fit just about every body shape. We also offer an extender piece that fits into the belt to extend the belt 6 more inches if need be.


Q: Does Flexwear come with instructions? Is Flexwear easy to use?

  1. Yes with your purchase you will receive a DVD, download on how to set up and adjust Flexwear. We have some video on our website showing Flexwear being used.

  2. Flexwear is very easy to use, it’s like putting one foot in front of the other…just move your arms…


Q: Do you have training DVD’s?

A: Yes we offer sport specific training DVD downloads*, such as cardio boxing, Pilates, walking (Flextraining). Along with more sport specific such as field drills, MMA conditioning, boot camp fitness, with more to come.* Please check shop page for availability as these are new upcoming items.

A: Yes very durable, we have taken Flexwear through rigorous training routines to make sure it will hold up under most daunting training routines so we know it will hold up for you the customer.
